Peter Debruge – Variety
“an enthralling and rigorously realistic outer-space survival story,” while UPROXX’s Mike Ryan praised Damon’s performance. He tweeted “we feel his solitude and horror without the movie being bleak,”
Richard Lawson – Vanity Fair
“beautifully built” casting
Jordan Hoffman – Mashable, Adam Vary – BuzzFeed, Todd McCarthy – The Hollywood Reporter

Matt Damon is kinda perfect for THE MARTIAN: We feel his solitude and horror without the movie being bleak. Strangely fun movie.
THE MARTIAN is fantastic. Nerdy, clever, beautifully built and cast, tense and thrilling. Plus Jessica Chastain does a lot of space.
Loved THE MARTIAN. Going to be a big hit for Fox and Ridley Scott. Great script and performances. Worth seeing in 3D.
