Birdman venceu os Gotham Awards como melhor filme, não obstante Boyhood ter mais uma nomeação. Julianne Moore e Michael Keaton arrecadaram os prémios para melhor atriz e ator.
Tilda Swinton, o realizador Bennett Miller e responsável de conteúdos da Netfix Ted Sarandos, foram homenageados.
Uma Thurman foi a anfitriã dos Gotham Independant Film Awards, na companhia de Meryl Streep, Scarlett Johansson, Hilary Swank, Marisa Tomei, Ethan Hawke, Patricia Arquette, Catherine Keener e Jake Gyllenhaal, ente outros, fizeram a festa.
