BIFA British Independent Film Awards 2019 | Lista de Nomeados
“The Personal History of David Copperfield” e “Judy” estão na corrida aos British Independent Film Awards 2019.
Os nomeados aos British Independent Film Awards (BIFA) foram revelados e a adaptação de Armando Iannucci da obra de Charles Dickens “The Personal History of David Copperfield” lidera a corrida com 11 nomeações.
O drama concorre a Melhor Filme, Melhor Ator para Dev Patel (“Quem Quer Ser Bilionário?”) e Melhor Argumento que Iannucci escreveu em colaboração com Simon Blackwell. A Fox Searchlight tem os direitos para o filme estrear nos Estados Unidos e o lançamento já garantido para o início de 2020. O filme conta a história de David Copperfield, desde a sua infância até atingir a maturidade.
Além do filme protagonizado por Patel, também na corrida aos BIFA British Independent Film Awards está Renee Zellweger que concorre ao galardão de Melhor Atriz por “Judy”. Ainda é cedo para afirmar algo, mas é bastante provável que Zellweger não se fique por esta nomeação, sendo bastante comentada para uma nomeação ao Óscar. Mesmo assim, os British Independent Film Awards não têm espelham qualquer tendência quando comparados com os prémios da Academia.
De destacar também “Parasitas” e “Marriage Story” que estão nomeados a Melhor Filme Internacional Independente nos BIFA, ao lado de “Portrait of a Lady on Fire,” “Monos,” e “Ash Is Purest White”. Os vencedores aos British Indie Film Awards serão conhecidos a 1 de dezembro.
