A 31ª edição dos Gotham Awards terminou com a aclamação de “A Filha Perdida”, o filme de estreia na realização de Maggie Gyllenhaal. Baseado no romance de Elena Ferrante, “A Filha Perdida” é um dos possíveis grandes títulos desta temporada de prémios. Olivia Colman, protagonista deste drama, foi eleita a Melhor Atriz do Ano.

Pela primeira vez, os documentários internacionais poderiam estar na corrida à categoria de melhor longa-metragem. Conforme anunciado anteriormente, Jane Campion foi homenageada com um galardão de tributo, enquanto o responsável pela Magnolia Pictures, Eamonn Bowles, recebeu a homenagem à indústria. O elenco de “The Harder They Fall” recebeu o prémio de tributo e os tributos de artista deste ano foram concedidos a Kristen Stewart e Peter Dinklage, que estarão certamente em destaque nesta Awards Season 2021/2022 pelos seus desempenhos em “Spencer” e “Cyrano”.
